I can not say how much I love this kit!! It works just as well as it's much much more expensive competitor! It does not have a charger, BUT I only have to replace the 2 AA batteries once every 6-8 weeks. If you paired this baby with some rechargeable batteries you'd be golden!

I have very dry, dull skin, and this has done amazing things for me! I've been using it for about 8 months and I couldn't imagine my skin regime without it!

I have to say I am in LOVE with this mascara! It gives length AND volume.... The best part? It won't break the bank! I love finding great drug store products that perform just as good, if not better than much more expensive ones! This mascara makes eyes POP!

Why's life have to be so busy?!

I'm such a slacker lately. To say things have been crazy around here , would be an understatement. A lot has happened, some is still in the process of happening, and there are many things that need to happen in the very near future.  Some of these things are, but not limited to : home repairs, finishing a couple classes, about to start a couple classes, trying to make some life style changes and decisions,  planning my soon to be 10 year olds birthday party and going to baseball and softball games twice a week.

Sometimes I feel like I can't breathe, and not and not in asthmatic way, although i do have that occasionally too. Lol lately I've just been feeling so overwhelmed, that I just want to run away. I've been trying to plan some sort of vacation, that is economical and relaxing. At this point, I'm thinking camping at Sleeping Bear Dunes, Mackinac Island, or heading to the U.P. to check out Pictured Rocks. However more than likely this won't happen this year, if ever. Things and expenses always seem to pop up to wreck havoc on plans. An old country song frequently reminds me of my life. The chorus was," I'm in a hurry to get things done I rush and rush to life's no fun. All I really gotta do is live and die, but I'm in a hurry and I don't know why. " I'm sure I'm not the only one that feels this way, unfortunately I think this is far too common. Life is all hustle, with little time for enjoyment and family.

I have been trying to make a point to do little activities with the kids such as make homemade pretzels, bake some delicious zucchini bread from an old family recipe, watch some movies, play some sports, go to the park or the beach and just try to have a good time together. I'm currently planning activities for the rest of the summer too. I had an epiphany the other day, that I've noticed I tend to sit out during some of the fun especially when Water activities are involved. I'm always concerned with my weight or the way I look in a bathing suit to fully enjoy myself with my family. Although I'm going to continue to work on myself, and my mindset , I'm not going to let life pass me by anymore. I'm tired of missing out.

Wow! It's 3 am, and I'm rambling.  I suppose now is a good time to get some sleep. I plan on doing some product reviews tomorrow. Have a good night and don't let life pass you by.

Cheesecake Factory, ER visit, and Commencement!

Woooo! Ok. I've fallen behind!  So, I'll backtrack a little. Monday 5/5 met up with my BFF for CHEESECAKE FACTORY. So delicious. Deciding on cheesecake was quite a task! Ended up going with the lemon raspberry... and Oh my! Totally orgasmic!! After dining, completely stuffed I waddled off to find a dress for commencement. We walked into Torrid, I found it right away, in the right size. Awesome!

That night I started getting some pains in the lower right side of my abdomen. I chose to ignore it till Wednesday morning when I decided the pain had gotten so bad I was worried it was my appendix and opted for a trip to the ER. After a scan, some morphine and blood work I was released with a diagnosis of possible early appendicitis, or possible ovarian cyst. I haven't had any pains since Sunday, so hopefully whatever it was is gone now. During all this commotion, I made my hubby a Tres Leches cake for his 35th Birthday and it was Delicious!

Saturday was my commencement! Being home schooled for High School I had never had a commencement. I relished in the day. I can honestly say I am proud of myself. I did it! Well, sorta. I actually have a few classes left to be officially done with my BBA. Now, the decision to move on to a masters program or not? Hmmm! I really want to go back to work, but there has recently became an issue that I may need to home school my youngest this coming school year... but, that's another post all together.

Until then, xoxo!

Coming soon: several product reviews!!!  All products were purchased with my own money and I have received no compensation for up coming reviews.

I survived the weekend!!

After a hellicious weekend I'm home, and alive. WIN! haha

Friday began with a late start. That was followed by car issues, a tow, a rental car, and finding out the car issue was a previously serviced issue. After wasting money on the tow and rental we finally got to the hotel ( 2 hours away ) at 6 pm, 4 hours later than planned. By the time we had dinner, there was only an hour left to enjoy the water park.

Friday night my son kept me up till about 4 am with an ear ache, that thankfully was no longer bothering him the following morning. We got up, showered, packed up and checked out by 11 am. We then grabbed some grub, and got my daughter ready for her cheer competition (the reason for our trip).

There was a lot of really great competition and unfortunately my daughters' team didn't place. She still had a blast and that's all that matters! After comp. we were able to spend 3 hours at the water park before grabbing some late dinner and heading home.

I avoided getting my face wet with the chlorine water ( chemical burn, remember?!? ) , which actually was far more successful than I expected. I feel totally beat up today. I think that means I am officially old. A lil outing and I'm spent! *smh* I feel like I was partying hard all weekend, on some blurred out drinking binge all young and wild like. Nope. Not a single drink. And no partying was had. LOL

I made it through the water park without burning my face off, and made it through the weekend with a smidgen of sanity intact. With all things considered this is a win!

My face is healing nicely, although those lil pesky lines are still there!!! I have a lunch date tomorrow at the Cheese Cake Factory with my BFF, which will be followed by a little shopping for something to wear to commencement this coming Saturday!  :)

La di da, I want to scratch my face off!!!!!

Oay! My face is still pretty bad, and itchy as can be. I want to just claw it off. Obviously, I am resisting this urge. I'm sure a clawed off face would be less attracted and more painful than what I'm currently dealing with.

My wonderful hubby purchased my list of ointments and washes for my burn this morning. I really think the Aquaphor Healing Ointment is helping. I just need it to work faster. I'm so impatient.

Once again, I had to cake on some makeup today, for just a few hours to get my hair done. Typically I do my hair myself, but this time I opted to treat myself to an appointment with a wonderful stylist. I would have rather postponed my appointment, but it takes 2 months minimum to get an appointment with her.. and time is not on my side.

Sometimes I think I'm too vain for my own good. Hence, if I wasn't I wouldn't be sporting this sexy chemical burn. I really try to play up my best attributes, like hair, makeup/face and boobs. From the boobs down, I'm just not that cute. Well, until you get to my feet. They are pretty cute.  But no one cares about cute feet, unless they have a foot fetish... so, I try to draw the attention to the top half of my body.  If I blind them with nice hair, makeup and a tasteful amount of cleavage maybe they won't notice the burn? Ya think? No, unfortunately I don't think it will work either.

Time to guzzle some water and slather on more ointment!

Ugh! I gave myself a chemical burn!

With graduation fast approaching, this means there will be photos taken... of me. I tend to not like having photos taken of me, unless, well I'm the one taking them. If I'm the one taking them, I'm in control of the angle and such and can take several to get the "one". You know the one, the one that will later be shared with the Facebook world. The one that makes you look far better than you do in day to day life. Yeah. That one. The problem with having photos taken and not being the taker, is there is no control. And I like control.

Ok. Now that we covered that aspect, I can continue on. So, with knowing photos will be taken soon I wanted to try to diminish some early aging signs that have been taunting me. So, I decided to purchase some 10% Glycolic peel "pads". I researched, for hours, many many hours. After I found a brand that everyone was raving about, I purchases some.

Last night after my 2nd application of this product, I moisturized and went to bed. When I woke up this morning my face was COVERED in little itchy red bumps. After several hours of research, I have concluded I gave myself a chemical burn. It's horrible! It looks like I have some sort of disease or something!! Oh the woes of me.

To make matters worse, I really only have till Friday to get this under control. The kids and I are heading to a water park for my daughters cheer competition. I'm sure the massive amounts of chlorine they put in the water will not help, AT ALL!! I only have 10 days until my commencement! Gosh I hope it's at least able to be covered with makeup by then!!!

I did put makeup on today for about 3 hours. Long enough to take the kids to gymnastics. I asked my loving, yet honest hubby how it looked. He said," Like chicken skin, with makeup on it." Are you getting the visual?! Ha! After I got home, I washed my face, and applied Aquaphor healing ointment
( as suggested by several ).

I guess this is what I get for being a lil too concerned about a few very fine lines. Gosh, aging is fun!

Let's try this again....

Thanks for stopping by!!! I haven't had a blog in so long, I was really missing it. So, I am back!!!! And man, it feels good!!

A lil bio about myself:
My name is Kristina, I am 29 *shutters* years old. I have been married for 7.5 years. Together we have a 9 year old daughter, and a 6 year old son. We reside in Michigan. I will be graduating with my Bachelors degree in 2 weeks! Yay! *jumps up and down* :) I am a full time student, SAHM, and a part time professional makeup artist.
My interests include: Any activity my children are in; which currently consists of dance, gymnastics, cheer, baseball and softball. I also enjoy singing, makeup, couponing, hair, art in its many forms, sleeping, shopping, eating, trying new products, talking,  travel, DIY and trying to lose this baby weight... I mean, my baby is 6 years old now.. it's time.

Our home is often chaotic and full of clashing personalities. When you combine that with crazy schedules, and non-stop to do lists it makes for a lot of fun, errr, or not so fun days! Never the less, I wouldn't trade it for anything. I love my imperfectly perfect life. :)
